How do you...
How do you convince your mom that if you don't go to FCN for atleast one day you'll die? Lol. But, I'm kinda sad because there seems to be no way for me to go this year because of my friend not being my friend anymore. 
Anyway, I almost got my mother convinced that I should beable to go this year since I missed last year. The con is only an hour and a half from my house. Luckily my mom is okay with furries so I don't have that to worry about. It's just convincing her that the con isn't a bad place to go and that I need to go.
Just in case I can't go, you guys should go and get tons of pictures and videos so I can see them.

Are you old enough to attend without a parental signature and proof of age? Can you drive? Are you a trusted family member and one that your mom knows how you act in public or how mature you are? Will you be staying over night?
That's a good idea - invite her along. If she knows you don't care if she's there, she may not worry as much and may then let you go alone. Have you been to other furcons?
Bring her with you! Plenty of folks have brought their parents to conventions and they had a lot of fun. Heck, my mother-in-law is on staff for Midwest FurFest, and Giza's (FCN's webmaster) mom works for Anthrocon.
